The dynamic Gergiev, who has set orchestras alight all over the world, records here at home in St Petersburg with the orchestra he knows best, conducting music that is in his blood — not the usual concert suites but the complete ballet score with every pulsating, passionate note it contains.
Critic’s Comments:
Gergiev secures beautifully polished playing from the Krov Ballet Theatre Orchestra.......there is much delicacy of effec, rhythms are crisp and clean and the is plenty of energy....
