Ordering from Wesley Classics

  • Not all titles shown on our website are held in stock, and the website does not indicate whether individual titles are in stock or out of stock.
  • Once you have placed your order, we send you an email confirming receipt of your order.
  • Any titles in stock are sent to you immediately, and each despatch is accompanied by email confirming this despatch.

The vast majority of classical recordings on CD and DVD are not stored in Australian warehouses, and must be obtained from a network of international suppliers, operating from warehouses in many different continents.
Despite the distance involved, hundreds of thousands of items can be obtained within one working week.
However, not all titles can be obtained from the same source, and consequently we place a number of orders with a number of suppliers on a number of different continents each week.
Each of these suppliers has its own modus operandi, and supplies stock to us at different speeds.

Where experience has shown that delays are common with a certain record label or supplier we have appended the following clause:

Buy Classical Music Online"Depending on stock levels, titles made by this record label may take up to six weeks to obtain. Many thousands of titles can be obtained within a week, but the number of suppliers and their different locations around the world mean that some titles take longer to obtain than others. To check stock levels before placing your order, you are welcome to email us at classics@wesleyclassics.com.au. We will advise you of the turn-around time of any particular titles by return email."

When we receive your order, we charge you at the outset for the total cost of the order, and also for one postage fee. This postage charge is always calculated on the weight and volume of your order - as if the totality of the order were in stock at the time. For orders which require more than one despatch, we send you each title as we receive it from our suppliers, and, if several despatches are required to complete one order, we do not charge you any further postage fees. If we know that two or more titles from a given order are due to arrive on our premises within a short space of time, we hold the first title aside, and combine it with the others when they arrive, in order to send you your order in as few despatches as possible.

We have found this to be a realistic and efficient way of processing website orders, and for orders of multiple titles, it inevitably means a saving on postage costs.

A quick comparison of our postage rates with those of all the other Australian classical mail-order and website services will show that our rates compare very favourably.

We do not handle your credit card details at any stage of the website order process. However, if an item is faulty or turns out to be unavailable, we can refund the transaction online. The details of the refund will appear on your credit card statement.

If you would like to know the expected turn-around time of any particular order, or whether a particular title is in stock, you are welcome to email us before placing your order.

Postage

The postage charged for your delivery is calculated based on the weight and size of the parcel.

Once you have added your items to the shopping cart, you can check the postage charge by clicking ESTIMATE SHIPPING.

This will give an itemised exact total cost of your order, including shipping fee.

Given the varying styles in which classical cds are packaged, postage charges vary from disc to disc.

However the following guide covers the majority of configurations which your order may take.

Postage costs for delivery anywhere in Australia:Classical CD Shop

  • One CD: $4.00
  • One DVD: $6.00
  • Orders weighing up to 500grams: $6.00
  • Orders weighing over 1000 grams: $20.00
(Note: One single CD weighs approximately 125grams)

Refunds and exchanges:

Any item found to be faulty will be replaced, or your credit card refunded.

Wesley Classics does not offer exchanges or refunds for items which have been ordered in error, for unwanted gifts, or in cases in which you change your mind after placing your order.

Returns

Genuinely faulty items will be replaced, and the cost of your having sent the item back to us will be refunded to your credit card.

Faulty CDs and DVDs are not nearly as common as poorly maintained CD and DVD players, and, in many cases the cause of the "fault" is dirt or dust in the player, or poor treatment of the disc.

Naturally our suppliers will only accept genuinely faulty items back for return, and therefore these are the terms under which we too must operate.

Of course we will not hesitate to replace any item which clearly has a manufacturing fault, or which you have received in an imperfect state.

International Orders

Wesley Classics ships internationally, and offers competitive international shipping rates.

To security reasons, orders can only be shipped to the billing address of your credit card.

For this reason, when you create your account, please be sure to use the billing address of your credit card account as your primary delivery address.
